The international community has met the step of receiving more than 25,000 Afghan refugees in the United Arab Emirates with satisfaction and gratitude.
The international community was, and still regrets, not rushing to provide aid and intervene in many events, which ended in disasters, loss of life and property, random displacement and forced displacement of citizens based on race, color, religious belief, or political orientation.
Had it not been for the urgent Emirati intervention to receive these elderly Afghan refugees, women and children in the Emirates Humanitarian City, we would have been eyewitnesses to a humanitarian catastrophe unparalleled in the twenty-first century. All thanks to the appreciation of the leaders of the UAE in dealing with this file on behalf of the international community, which proves the foresight of these leaders and their superiority in the region and the countries of the world.
Hence, we call on countries, peoples and world leaders to support the UAE and contribute with it in order to secure the best alternative and a decent life for these refugees.
